5 easy steps should take less than 5 minutes to set up your account and passkey on mobile and web.
What is a passkey?
A passkey is a secure login credential stored on your device. Instead of entering a password, you'll use your fingerprint, face scan, or device PIN to log in.¹
Passkeys are phishing-resistant, fast, and tied to your personal device—making it easier and safer to access your benefits.
Passkey is required for login to your account on the portal, HealthEquity app, and the EZ Receipts app.²
Start online or download the mobile app
Go to HealthEquity (my.healthequity.com) and/or EZ Receipts (participant.wagworks.com) to get started depending on your plan. Download the HealthEquity app or EZ Receipts app² (or both, depending on your plan) to get started.
Verify Your Identity
Select a verification method (text or voice call) to receive a one-time passcode (OTP) to the phone number associated with your account, then enter the code to confirm your identity.
Look up your account
Confirm your account sponsor and contact information.
Username and passkey
Your device will assign a system generated username to the passkey you are creating and prompt you to create the passkey using built-in security like Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN.¹

You’re In!
Once set up, your passkey will be saved to your device for future logins — fast, secure, and password-free. If you already have a registered account, follow steps 1 thru 4 for passkey set up.
Tip: Turn on mobile app notifications to ensure you see your passkey prompt when it’s time to set up.
¹Passkey set up is also available online using a desktop, laptop or tablet computer. A valid phone number is required to register a passkey. SSO login does not require passkey but, direct use of mobile or web login does require passkey. If you have multiple employers and accounts on EZ Receipts, each employer + account requires registration and passkey. HealthEquity offers multiple authentication options to ensure accessibility.
